Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20.10.2026 · This version is a translation. The German version is legally binding.
We only process the data we need for your purchase and your eSIM. This policy is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
1. Controller
Travelit, Simone Alibo, Klybeckstrasse 141, 4057 Basel, Schweiz. For all questions about data protection: support@simigo.ch.
2. What data we process
- your email address,
- your orders: package, destination, price, time, selected language,
- technical data of your eSIM: ICCID, activation code, status and data usage,
- a reference for your payment. Only Stripe receives card details, not us,
- your IP address, for a short time, to protect against misuse, for example against too many sign-in attempts,
- when you visit the website: the page you open, the language, the website you came from, the device type and the country. This does not reveal who you are.
3. Why
- to deliver and top up your eSIM and to send you the receipt,
- to warn you when your data is running low,
- for the customer area and for questions to our support team,
- to see how many people visit the shop and where they come from,
- to protect against misuse and to meet legal obligations, such as bookkeeping.
We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.
4. Who receives your data
We work with a small number of service providers who process your data only on our behalf:
- Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. (Ireland) for payments,
- Render Services, Inc. (USA) for running the shop. The servers and database are located in Frankfurt (Germany),
- Telegram Messenger Inc. (outside Switzerland and the EEA) for internal notifications to us: alerts, forwarded emails sent to support@simigo.ch and visit notifications,
- Resend, Inc. (USA) for sending our emails,
- ESIM ACCESS LIMITED as the supplier of the eSIMs. It only receives an order number and the selected package, but no personal details about you.
5. Transfers abroad
Some service providers are based outside Switzerland or may transfer data to the USA. Where a country does not provide adequate data protection, we rely on the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses.
6. Cookies
We only use these cookies:
- “sprache” remembers your language, for one year,
- “konto_sitzung” keeps you signed in to the customer area, for 30 days,
- “partner” remembers for 30 days which partner link (for example from a hotel or travel agency) brought you to the shop. It is only set if you arrive through such a link. If you buy within that time, the partner receives a commission, but no information about you.
We do not use any analytics or advertising cookies. So that a visit is only reported once, your browser remembers this until you close the tab. We also keep a short, irreversible value derived from your IP address and browser for no more than six hours; it is recreated every day.
7. How long we keep data
We keep orders and receipts for ten years because the law requires this for bookkeeping. Sign-in links are valid for 15 minutes, sessions for 30 days. We delete data used to protect against misuse after one hour at most.
8. Your rights
You can request information about your data at any time and have it corrected or deleted, unless there is a legal obligation to keep it. To do so, write to us at support@simigo.ch. You can also lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
9. Security
The connection to the shop is encrypted. Access to your data is limited to what is necessary, and your order page can only be reached via a link that cannot be guessed.
10. Changes
We update this policy when our processes change. The version published on simigo.ch applies.
