Does my phone support eSIM?
Almost all iPhones from 2018 onwards and many newer Android phones support eSIM. Search for your model or run the test directly on your device.
The reliable test: show your EID
- Open the Phone app as if you were going to call someone.
- Dial *#06#.
- If a line with EID appears, your phone supports eSIM.
If you only see an IMEI and no EID, your device doesn't have an eSIM.
Second requirement: no SIM lock
Your phone must not be locked to one network provider. Devices bought in Switzerland are almost always unlocked.
iPhone: Settings, General, About. Under “Network Provider Lock” it must say “No SIM restrictions”.
Android: If you've ever used a SIM card from another provider in it, the device is unlocked.

iPad Pro 11-inch (all generations), iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation and later), iPad Air (3rd generation and later), iPad (7th generation and later), iPad mini (5th generation and later)
Only models with mobile data (“Wi-Fi + Cellular”).
