What is an eSIM?

An eSIM is a SIM card that's built into your phone. You load the profile with a QR code and don't need to swap any cards. Your Swiss SIM stays in place.

When should I install the eSIM?

Ideally before you leave, at home on Wi-Fi. Your phone needs internet access for the installation, and airport Wi-Fi is often unreliable.

Can I make calls with the eSIM?

The packages are data-only and don't come with a phone number. Calls via WhatsApp, FaceTime or similar apps work as usual.

What happens when my data runs out?

You'll get an email beforehand and can top up using your personal link. The eSIM stays the same.

Will it work with my phone?

Almost all iPhones from 2018 onwards and many newer Android phones support eSIM. The device must not be locked to one network provider. You'll find your model in the device check.
